Best of Show 2019 Cascadia International Wine Competition. Strawberry and light plum mix with currant and oak. Structure and balance with lingering tannins.
Cherry fruit notes, toasty oak, a light smoke and herb. Complementing flavors of Bing cherry, light chocolate, rustic cherry pit tannins and a nice mid palate. Great balance from start to finish. Pair with pizza or a past marinera
Coyote Canyon Vineyard
Sangiovese is one of my favorite varietals. The grapes were picked a little early because of the hot season but had great flavor and balance. The fermentation was done in small 1 ton lots. After aging I blended some Cabernet to round out the blend. This is a wonderful expression of what Sangiovese can taste like from the Coyote Canyon Vineyard.
This wine should age well. I tend to enjoy it young, 4-5 years but think it can still evolve and be tasty for 8-10 years.
