2015 H/H Artist Series Petit Verdot
The color is dark black to red. Sweet plum aromas mix with red fruits, peppercorns and oak. The wine starts off with soft tannins, dark fruit flavors, plum and mild blackberry comes through with a light chocolate and tannin on the finish. The wine is rich and full bodied, has great tannin integration and lasts a long time.

2015 Vineyard Review
2015 was a very hot vintage in Washington. Most white wines were picked early and a lot of reds as well. A typical vintage in Washington is warm but 2015 was insane, the heat units accumulated so quickly we were picking 3 weeks earlier than an average year on some varietals.
As with any year many challenges were faced and overcome to grow and create an exceptional wine. The summer was hot, but we didn't have a lot of days over 100 degrees which allowed the crop to ripen at a nice pace. When Fall arrived, the grapes were ready to pick. The wines from 2015 show great fruit notes and should age well.
This is our third vintage of Artist Series Petite Verdot and looks like it has found a home in our lineup. Marti inspired the first bottling and we continue to showcase her art work on the label. Petite Verdot is a great blending wine but certainly deserves to be showcased on its own. I feel like this wine will age gracefully for the next few years and should be cellar worthy for at least 10. We only made 2 barrels of this wine which created 47 cases.
The grapes for this wine were handpicked. After receiving them at the winery I destemmed them into a 1-ton fermenting vessel. The fermentation took about 2 weeks. The wine was then pressed and aged in French oak barrels. After 22 months of maturation in oak barrels the wine was filtered and bottled.
