HH Pour It Charlie NV
Chocolate, blackberry, spice and oak mix together for an intoxicating aroma. This port shows flavors of sweet dark cherries, wood and baked pie linger for a long finish.
Chocolate, blackberry and oak mix together to reveal an intoxicating aroma. Some mild alcohol notes come through giving a nice spice to the smell as well. The legs are thick on this port giving a sense of a full rich drink. The initial flavors sweet dark cherries, wood and a little baked pie component. The flavors keep going and a long finish make this ready for consumption. Should age nicely for a decade.

2013 was a hot season which was great for our Port wine. We were looking for intense flavors and high sugar content and 2013 didn't disappoint. This was one of the last things we picked in 2013 and both the Syrah and Graciano were around 27 brix. I ended up blending some Port from 2011 (the Mourvedre portion) and 2013 together to make the final blend. The 2011 portion had more oak complexity and when mixed with the 2013 which had more of a fruity nose the blend just seemed to work.
